I paint the quiet beauty of everyday spaces: our homes, gardens, and the Australian bush. These are sanctuaries we often overlook, yet they hold such richness. Working in oils, I use colour, line, texture and pattern to reveal the depth and exuberance that's already there.

Born and raised in South Africa, I have been based in Sydney for over 20 years. Spending time in the bush is integral to my practice, where I study the rich flora and birdlife. I fell in love with the Waratah flower and discovered it shares a family, Proteaceae, with the South African protea. That connection between my two homes naturally found its way into my work.

Painting and drawing have accompanied me for thirty years, always pointing me toward curiosity and delight.
