The sounds of birdsong bookends our days, and keeps us company during moonlit and sometimes stormy nights. It is a reminder of life continuing, joy to be embraced, companionship even when we feel lonely.

I am a migratory bird myself, hatched and grew up in South Africa, flew over to Sydney more than two decades ago with husband and three small chicks. (Chicks are fully grown now- happiness🐣🐥)

So, to celebrate all the good things bird-related, I have painted 12 small works of these feathered marvels that have frequented my life.
